Establishment of Hindusthan Heavy Electricals
Hindusthan Heavy Electricals Private Limited (HHEPL) was established in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, laying the foundation for high-performance power and distribution transformer manufacturing in South India.
MILESTONE 1985
TNEB Vendor Recognition & Quality Accreditation
Expanded plant infrastructure and secured official quality vendor recognition from Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB). Established Hindusthan Brand Transformers as a trusted hallmark across state utility networks.
MILESTONE 1992
Hindusthan Educational & Charitable Trust
Founded Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust to render back to society. The trust went on to establish 7 premier educational institutions in Coimbatore serving over 17,000 students and 1,200 faculty members.
MILESTONE 1998
Acquisition of Vivin Group Switchboards
Acquired Vivin Group switchgear manufacturing units. Expanded group capabilities into Medium & High Voltage Switchboards, PCC, MCC, and Bus Ducts up to 33 kV Class with exclusive ESA Licence and MECON approvals.
MILESTONE 2005
Winding Wires & Tank Fabrication Expansion
Established Standard Power Distributors in Puducherry for super enameled copper winding wires (100 M.Tons/month) and Priya Metallurgical Industries for heavy transformer tank pressure testing.
2014 - PRESENT
IS 1180 / BEE Star Rating & Global Leadership
Achieved full compliance with IS 1180 / 2014 (Part-1), BEE Star Energy Efficiency Ratings, and ISO certifications. Celebrating over 41 years of engineering excellence with 24-month heavy industry warranties.
